Week 13

So I just realized that it has been awhile since I updated the blog. I guess that comes with the territory of being a busy person who is now pregnant...tired and/or sick most of the time. I will try to stay on top of this more, but we will see.

Okay so what is going on?
Well week 11 rolled around and I wasn't feeling right, just not feeling the same and I got myself freaked out that something was wrong. With hearing stories of things that have happened to others, I was scared something was wrong with the baby. So on Friday March 2, I called the doctor and they said they could get me in later that day. I went in and told them how I felt and they said they could try to find the heart beat with the doppler, but not to get worried if they couldn't, because usually you cannot hear it until after 12 or 13 weeks. All I wanted was the hear the heart beat and know that everything was ok. Well this baby knew that Mama needed the reassurance, because within seconds they found the heartbeat and it was music to my ears. It was exactly what I needed to know that I was just freaking out for no reason. I guess that comes with being a 1st timer here. I am sure I will have other scares like this, but once the baby starts moving then they can reassure me that they are still in there doing just fine.

So I don't think I have felt the baby move yet, or I am just passing it off as having gas. lol. I hear that it feels the same. I can't wait until I know what I am feeling is the baby moving and then of course when Jason can feel the baby kick, that will be awesome.

It still seems unreal sometimes that I am actually pregnant and going to be having a baby in Sept. but this is really happening and I couldn't be happier right now. Well that is when I am not dizzy, sick to my stomach and so on. :)

I am less then a week away from the end of the first trimester and am so excited, because I hear the second trimester is the best one. I have a doctor's appointment on Monday and then on Wednesday will be heading to NY to visit family for a few days. A short trip, but I get to see the family and it will be the first since we found out I am pregnant. I am very excited, but I know it will make spring break go by even faster. Then it is back to work and the count down for FCAT. For me I am hoping FCAT goes fast, because by the end of it, I should know whether I am having a girl or a boy. Hoping to schedule that ultrasound next week at my doctor appointment.

Well I think that is enough babbling coming for me right now. I am doing this from my work computer where I don't have my 12 week pictures so I will have to post them on here later.
